UAE distributes aid to 3,500 Syrian refugees, Lebanese families

Beirut, (IINA) - About 3,500 Syrian refugees and affected Lebanese families have benefited from the humanitarian aid dispatched by UAE's Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan Foundation to Arsal town, Lebanon, WAM reported Sunday.
The distribution of humanitarian aid, provided as part of UAE's response to the displaced Syrians during the winter of 2016, under the auspices of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates to Lebanon, concluded Sunday in Arsal area.
The Director of Attaché for Humanitarian and Development Affairs Office at the UAE Embassy, Muslim Al-Mansouri, oversaw the distribution of aid in cooperation with the bodies authorized by the Lebanese government to facilitate the delivery of aid and the success of the process.
He stressed the keenness of the UAE embassy to make every effort to ensure that the aid reaches those in need, and to work according to the United Nations' standards in terms of quality and size of aid provided to the Syrian refugees and affected Lebanese.
