Yemen's legitimate government keen to resume political process: Deputy PM

Cairo (IINA) – Yemen's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Abdul Malik Al-Mekhlafi confirmed that the legitimate Yemeni government is keen and strives to end the suffering of the Yemeni people, stop the killing machine, destruction and siege, which the Houthi militias and forces loyal to ousted President Ali Abdullah Saleh are continuing, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
In a statement on Sunday before leaving the Egyptian capital Cairo, Mekhlafi said that the government is trying to resume the political process as soon as possible, according to the initiative of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and its executive mechanism, as well as the outcome of Yemen's National Dialogue Conference and the implementation of relevant UN Security Council resolutions, in particular resolution 2216, in order to ensure return of security and stability to all Yemeni regions.
