New York (IINA) – UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon condemned Sunday's terrorist attack that reportedly killed and wounded dozens of people in the Turkish capital of Ankara.
“The Secretary General sends his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims,” said a statement issued by the UN chief's spokesman, noting that the “United Nations continues to support and stand in solidarity with the people and the government of Turkey at this trying time.”
According to media reports, a car bomb tore through a crowded transport hub in Ankara, killing at least 34 people and wounding 125 in the second such attack in the administrative heart of the city within a month.
