Algiers (IINA) – Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Monday that a broad range of factors that should be addressed is influencing the energy market, Russian News Agency TASS reported.
"OPEC and non-OPEC oil producers have already established the dialog through energy ministries. They are holding professional talks and I would prefer not to infringe on their competency sphere," Lavrov told journalists in the Algerian capital of Algiers.
"Lots of factors that should definitely be taken into consideration by those responsible for energy policy in OPEC and non-OPEC nations are influencing on the situation on energy resources markets," he said.
"The balance of interests, exporters and importers in the given case, should be reflected in this issue as a political principle just like in any other one," Lavrov said.
"As far as gas is concerned, we are closely cooperating with Algeria and other countries participating in the Gas Exporting Countries Forum," he added.
