UAE ready to send ground troops to Syria as part of 'international coalition'

Monday 08 Feb 2016 - 10:19 Makkah mean time-29-4-1437 Abu Dhabi (IINA) – The United Arab Emirates is ready to send ground troops as part of the US-led international coalition to fight Daesh (so called Islamic State) extremist group, a top official said on Sunday. “Our position throughout has been that a real campaign against Daesh has to include a ground force,” Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr Anwar Gargash said at a press conference in Abu Dhabi. He added that “U.S. leadership on this” would be a prerequisite for the UAE, according to France 24. AB/IINA
