OIC chief Iyad Madani (R) receives Amb. Alhaji Mohammed Sillah Kargbo
Jeddah (IINA) – Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Iyad Ameen Madani received here on Wednesday Sierra Leonean Ambassador to Saudi Arabia and Permanent Representative to the OIC Alhaji Mohammed Sillah Kargbo.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the bilateral relations and cooperation between the OIC and Sierra Leone as well as the ways and means to strengthen them. They also reviewed regional and international issues of mutual concern.
The envoy briefed the Secretary General on the Post-Ebola Recovery Program being implemented in Burkina Faso and sought the support of the OIC in this regard.
Both sides also reviewed the ongoing preparations for the Extraordinary Summit on Palestine, to be held in Jakarta, Indonesia, on March 6-7, and the 13th Regular Islamic Summit, which will take place in the Turkish city of Istanbul on April 10-15.
