Saudi embassy in Tehran attacked by demonstrators

Muscat (IINA) – The Sultanate of Oman on Wednesday voiced deep regrets over the acts of sabotage on the Saudi Arabia's embassy in Tehran and the consulate in Mashhad by Iranian demonstrators.
The Sultanate stressed that "this act is a violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and international charters and norms that emphasize the sanctity of diplomatic premises and their protection by the host country."
"A statement issued by the foreign ministry said that the Sultanate considers this action unacceptable and at the same time affirms the importance of finding new rules that prohibit any kind of intervention in countries' internal affairs," the Oman News Agency reported.
