Hebron (IINA) – The Israeli occupation forces on Sunday detained at least four Palestinians in Hebron, including a former minister and a member of the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC), and summoned six others from other areas for interrogation, WAFA reported citing local and security sources.
The Israeli forces stormed Nemra neighborhood in Hebron and detained Issa Jabari, former minister of local government and a member of Hamas, after raiding his house and smashing its main gate. Hatem Qefesha, a member of the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC), was detained after raiding his house in Hebron. Only two hours prior to his arrest, unknown assailants attacked and set fire to Qefesha’s car, which was parked outside his house.
The army forces broke into other towns across the Hebron district, but there were no further reports of arrests. Meanwhile, Israeli troops stormed Dehesheh refugee camp near Bethlehem, where they summoned four Palestinians to appear before the Israeli intelligence for interrogation at the nearby Gush Etzion military compound.
During the Israeli offensive on Dehesheh, soldiers stormed a commercial store and seized its surveillance cameras. In Ramallah district, army forces broke into the village of Beit Reema, where they also summoned two Palestinians to appear for interrogation.
