Cameroonian prisoner converts to Islam in Sharjah

Thursday 14 Jan 2016 - 10:41 Makkah mean time-4-4-1437 Image from Khaleej Times Sharjah, UAE (IINA) - A 43-year-old Cameroonian inmate at Sharjah Reformatory and Punitive Establishments on Tuesday declared his conversion to Islam, Khaleej Times reported. He said he had been reading about Islam for a long time and was thinking about becoming a good Muslim. The inmate noted that the good conduct of Muslims as well as the way he was treated by others in the prison motivated him to convert to Islam. It is noteworthy that the Cameroonian prisoner adopted the new name of Osman. SM/IINA
