Algeria, Mali agree to cooperate in vocational training

Algiers, (IINA) - Algeria and Mali have signed an agreement on Tuesday regarding cooperation in the field of vocational training for 2016-2017, Algeria Press Service reported.
The document was inked by Minister of Vocational Training and Education Mohamed Mebarki and Malian Minister of Employment, Vocational Training, Youth and Civic Education Mahamane Baby.
The agreement provides for the exchange of training programs and training of trainers as well as the granting of scholarships to trainees, in addition to technical assistance in the use of information and communications technologies in training. "All these actions will be strengthened by a program of twinning between training centers of the two countries", said Mebarki at the signing ceremony.
The minister underlined Algeria's readiness to assist Mali in its strategy for the reform and modernization of vocational training mechanisms.
He also reiterated the readiness of his department to work for the development of a program of exchanges and partnership for the economic and social development of the two countries.
On his part, the Malian minister welcomed the signing of the program, saying that it “shows the fruitful cooperation between Mali and Algeria".
The program of action will contribute to the strengthening of human resources in Mali with the sharing of experience and training in the field, he added.
He also hailed Algeria's role in the resolution of the multidimensional crisis that shook Mali over the past years.
