Kazakhstani mathematician awarded Turkey's top science prize

Ankara (IINA) – Kazakhstani Professor Dr Marat Akhmet was granted the top award of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at a function held at the Aksaray Presidential Palace on the outskirts of Ankara.
Prof. Akhmet expressed his gratitude to the Council for the honor.
"We are delighted that our compatriots achieve such results not only in Kazakhstan, but abroad. Akhmet's example makes us believe that Kazakhstan has a great scientific potential," Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Turkey Zhanseit Tuimebayev noted.
The Science Award was given to Prof Akhmet for his high-quality works at the international level in areas such as the installation and development of the generalized theory of differential equations and his contribution to bring scientific innovations.
It is worth mentioning that his research in mathematics is widely used not only in Turkey, but also across a number of European countries. Further, his scientific works were published in Turkey, Europe and the United States.
