Muscat, (IINA) - The recently formed Work Development Committee for the Consultative Authority of the GCC Supreme Council held its first meeting in Muscat on Wednesday. The Committee discussed documents presented by members of the Consultative Authority in this regard, ONA reported.
The forming of this committee comes within the framework of the importance accorded by the GCC leaders to develop regulatory, administrative, and structural infrastructure for all institutions and polishing their outputs.
The Committee is tasked with studying successful methods and means to develop the Consultative Authority as well as discussing the improvement of the intellectual mechanism concerned with providing consultation as this development is connected with the basic work of the Consultative Authority, which aims to provide consultation to the GCC leaders on the topics that need study and revision.
It is noteworthy that the department’s office was a grant provided by the government of Oman in a bid to support the GCC joint work.
