Jeddah (IINA) – The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the two terrorist attacks that took place Thursday in the area of Burj Al Barajneh in the Lebanese capital Beirut, leading to the death and injury of dozens of civilians.
Madani described the bombing as a terrorist attack targeting the security and stability of Lebanon and terrorizing innocents.
He called on all Lebanese political and civilian components to exercise wisdom and restraint and work together to overcome differences and support the constitutional institutions in the country, so that all those who seek to drag Lebanon into a cycle of violence and tension through such acts of terror would fail.
Madani extended his condolences to the families of the victims as well as to the Lebanese people, and wished quick recovery to the wounded.
The Secretary General reiterated the principled position of the OIC that vigorously denounces terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
