Rabat (IINA) – The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) strongly condemned the racist statements made by President of the Czech Republic Miloš Zeman, who advocated the expulsion of Muslims from Europe during his participation in the celebration of the 26th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution.
ISESCO said in a statement obtained by the International Islamic News Agency (IINA) that the insistence of President Zeman on his racist positions toward Muslims in general and the Muslims of Europe in particular as well as his bias in favor of the right-wing extremist in his country is a clear evidence that he does not respect the international law and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR).
At the same time, the ISESCO commended the stance of Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka, who opposed and criticized President Zeman's racist position. Further, the ISESCO called on the United Nations to take a firm stance against such racist remarks.
