Arab-South American Summit set to begin in Riyadh today

Riyadh (IINA) - Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman welcomed THE Arab and South American leaders to Riyadh ahead of the 4th Summit of Arab and South American Countries set to begin here on Tuesday evening.
King Salman will inaugurate the summit at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center. The King received several heads of state and leaders at King Khaled International Airport Riyadh. The leaders who arrived to attend the summit included President Nicolas Maduro Moros of Venezuela, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt, King Abdullah of Jordan, President Omar Hassan Al-Bashir of Sudan, King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa of Bahrain, Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, President Al-Habib Al-Said of Tunisia, President Hasan Sheikh Mahmoud of Somalia, and President Mahmoud Abbas of Palestine.
Leaders and heads of state from 22 member-states of the Arab League and the 12 countries of South America are expected to attend the summit which aimed at promoting mutual relations and better coordination among their leaders. The summit was first held in 2005 in Brasilia, Brazil, followed by a second in Doha, Qatar in 2009. It was last held in Lima, Peru in October 2012.
