Aden, (IINA) - Sudan has recently deployed troops from all service branches across Yemen to partake in the Saudi-led Arab Coalition's military operations, WAM reported.
Commander of the Sudanese forces in Yemen said that Sudan is participating in Arab Coalition's operations as part of its duty towards Yemeni brothers as well as part of its responsibility as an Arab nation towards other Arab nations.
"The people of Sudan and the Sudanese armed forces share the duty of backing the legitimate causes of their brothers and counter attempts to break up Arab countries and undermine their security and stability", he added.
A military commander of a Sudanese unit pointed out that Sudanese soldiers and other Arab soldiers are fighting in the same trench to serve the cause of their nation. He added, "Sudanese troops are working with their Arab brothers in the Coalition to restore legitimacy to Yemen".
It is noteworthy that the Sudanese Armed Forces have played a role in regaining the Sinai Peninsula during the Arab-Israeli War in October 1973.
