OIC chief Iyad Madani

Jeddah (IINA) – Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Iyad Madani strongly condemned the Friday’s suicide bombing attacks that targeted worshippers who were in a procession marking Ashoura in the Pakistani city of Jacobabad, north of Karachi, killing at least 20 people and injuring scores of others.
Madani conveyed his condolences to the government and people of Pakistan as well as to the families of the victims over this tragedy and vowed the OIC's support to the efforts of the Pakistani government in fighting terrorism.
The Secretary General also reiterated the principled position of the OIC which vigorously denounces all acts of terrorism and violent extremism in all forms and manifestations, just as it categorically rejects any justifications for terrorism.
