King Salman, John Kerry discuss latest developments in the region

Riyadh (IINA) – Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman received U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and his accompanying delegation here on Saturday evening, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
During the meeting, the leaders discussed a number of issues of mutual concern and the overall developments in the region, particularly those related to the Palestinian territories and the importance of securing protection for the Palestinian people against the repeated Israeli hostilities, in addition to the situation at the Syrian arena.
The audience was attended from the Saudi side by Crown Prince Muhammad bin Naif, deputy premier and minister of interior; Deputy Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman, second deputy premier and minister of defense; Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir ; Dr Musaed Al-Aiban, minister of state and member of the Cabinet, and Dr Adel bin Zaid Al-Toraifi, minister of culture and information. The US delegation included Joseph Westphal, U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom; Anne W. Patterson, assistant secretary of state for Near East Affairs; Jonathan Finer, director of the Secretary of State Office; John Kirby, spokesman for the Department of State and Lisa Kenna, executive assistant of State Department.
