Ramallah, (IINA) - Israeli forces on Monday booby-trapped the entrance to the village of Deir Nizam, northwest of Ramallah, with stun grenades, WAFA reported citing local sources.
The village of Deir Nizam witnessed intense clashes between youths and the Israeli forces on Sunday night, after which the forces put rocks at the entrance of the village.
Local sources said that a stun grenade detonated from beneath the rocks as Palestinians were working to remove the rubble.
Palestine has been witnessing a series of clashes as a result of rising tension levels because of the repeated Israeli assaults on Al-Aqsa Mosque, Islam’s third holiest site, particularly after increasing attempts to enforce a temporal division on the site between Muslims and Jews.
