Iran's Guardian Council approves nuclear deal

Tehran (IINA) – Iran's Guardian Council on Wednesday approved implementing the nuclear agreement struck between Tehran and the major world powers, sealing the final required step before the deal come into force, after it was approved by lawmakers, the state-run news agency IRNA reported.
The Guardian Council, made up of lawyers and clerics, is tasked with assessing whether the parliamentary legislations are compatible with Iran's constitution and the Shariah law.
In the parliamentary session on Tuesday, 161 lawmakers voted for implementing the nuclear deal, while 59 voted against it and 13 abstained.
