Jeddah (IINA) – President of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Group Dr Ahmad Mohamed Ali opened on Monday the regular 76th meeting of the institutions of the Coordination Group, being hosted by the IDB in Jeddah on 26-28 October.
In his opening address, Dr Ahmad Ali said that since 1971 the Coordination Group has undertaken an effective role in the economic and developmental efforts in various parts of the world. He noted that the total financing operations approved by the Coordination Group and its branches until the first half of 2015 amounted to $235 billion, about 60 percent of them allocated to supporting public and private sector investments in order to create infrastructures for energy, transport, communications and social services.
