Yerevan/Armenia, (IINA) - The Albanian National Football Team marked October 11th, 2015, a historic day after winning 3-0 against Armenia in Yerevan, making it for Euro 2016 for the first time.
At the 9th minute, Armenia defender Kamo Hovhannisya gifted an own goal to Albania. The Albanian players became hungry to shake the Armenia's team nets; Djimishti sent the ball into the net scoring the second goal after a long pass from Memushaj at the 23th minute.
For the rest of the game, Albanian players were withdrawn as the Armenians struggled to gain the foothold in the game but without making any significant attack.
At the 76th minute of the second half, Albanian players successfully exploit their opponents gaps, declaring the game over with a third goal sealed by Armando Sadiku after a smart pass from Roshi
"It is the biggest emotion of my life because I have a have a whole nation behind. Those who laughed at us a few months ago are celebrating with us Today, "commented the Italian coach Gianni De Biasi immediately after winning 3-0 in Armenia.
Hundreds of fans of the national team took to the streets of the capital Tirana to celebrate, not only in Tirana but all cities of Albania, also in Kosovo,
Albanians live in Macedonia, and other countries had massive celebrations.
