Venezuela to receive 20,000 Syrian refugees

Tuesday 08 Sep 2015 - 12:40 Makkah mean time-24-11-1436 Caracas (IINA) – Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on Monday ordered his foreign ministry to take steps to receive 20,000 Syrian refugees in the country. "I ordered Foreign Minister Delsey Rodriguez to meet with the Syrian community, in order to receive 20,000 Syrians who were forced to leave their country," said Maduro during a cabinet meeting held in the Miraflores Presidential Palace in Caracas, which was broadcast live on TV.
