Tunisian Ministry of Interior warns of terrorist attacks in the capital

Monday 07 Sep 2015 - 20:25 Makkah mean time-23-11-1436 Image from Internet Tunis (IINA) – Tunisia’s Ministry of Interior warned Sunday that terrorists are plotting for attacks against sensitive and vital sites in the capital Tunis, by using car bombs and explosive belts, Tunisia Press Agency (TAP) reported. The recent decision to ban traffic at the Avenue Habib Bourguiba, the central thoroughfare of Tunis, and some nearby roads is a preventive measure to intercept suspicious vehicles and persons, an Interior Ministry official said in a statement to TAP. Instructions were given recently to reinforce security patrols and increase combing operations in several zones of the capital and its provinces, the same source added. AB/IINA
