Rabat (IINA) – The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) has renewed its contract with the competent authorities to send 44 professors of Arabic language to educational institutions and Islamic cultural centers in a number of non-Arabic-speaking nations in Africa, Latin America and Southeast Asia.
Renewal of this contract, during the academic year 2015-2016, comes within the framework of the follow-up of implementing the ISESCO program to promote the Arabic language teaching for non-native speakers in universities and educational institutions in the member states and non-Muslim countries across the world in cooperation with Qatar ِCharity.
The aim of dispatching Arabic teachers to these educational institutions and Islamic cultural centers is to localize the Arabic language and to develop the methods of its teaching, in addition to expanding the circle of its spread among non-native speakers.
The program also seeks to prepare local specialists in educational methods of teaching Arabic to non-native speakers and in teaching of Islamic culture. It further aims to build the ability of the local staff in providing guidance and supervision, as well as the development of educational programs and the relevant national curriculum.
