Aden (IINA) – The first two commercial vessels arrived Sunday in the Yemeni port of Holaf in Socotra province, laden with more than 900 tons of foodstuffs, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
Director of Financial and Administrative Affairs at Holaf port Mohammed Salim said in a statement to the state-run Yemeni News Agency that the port received on Sunday the first two commercial vessels, which ceased to anchor here since last June because of seasonal winds that usually blow at that time and block the entry of vessels to the port.
He added that the port's administration managed to expedite unloading the payload of the two vessels as people inside are in dire need for it.
