New York (IINA) – Secretary General of the Arab League Dr Nabil Elaraby and  EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini have urged all Libyan parties to sign the draft of the proposed political agreement so that the Libyan people can realize their aspirations for peace and stability.
The Arab League explained in a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) that Elaraby and Mogherini expressed, during their meeting in New York on the sidelines of the 70th session of the UN General Assembly, their full support for the continued efforts by Special Representative and Head of the UN Support Mission in Libya Bernardino León.
It is to be noted that the UN envoy announced on September 21 the finalization of the proposed peace plan, reached through negotiations in the Moroccan resort of Skhirat, to end the political crisis in Libya.
