Gaza (IINA) – Palestinian Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs Sheikh Yousef Adeis said Sunday that the first batch of Gaza pilgrims will embark on Hajj pilgrimage starting from Monday to Wednesday through Rafah border crossing.
In a press statement, the minister expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Egypt for its keenness to remove obstacles and facilitate the journey of the Gaza pilgrims.
Sheikh Adeis called on the pilgrims who will leave for the holy sites to comply with the instructions of the Ministry of Awqaf in order to ensure safe and successful completion of the Hajj season.
He noted that 6,000 Palestinian pilgrims will leave for Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj pilgrimage this year, including 2,450 pilgrims from the Gaza Strip.
