Jeddah, (IINA) - Iyad Ameen Madani, secretary general of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), strongly condemned the criminal attack on the embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Sana’a by the Houthi militias.
Madani said in a statement that the occupation of the UAE embassy is a flagrant violation and breach of the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and international law, which protect the inviolability of diplomatic missions that applies to all.
The secretary general also assured the OIC’s solidarity with the UAE and its support for the country’s request for immediate return of its embassy in Sana’a.
