Istanbul (IINA) – Twelve trucks loaded with humanitarian aid from Turkish Diyanet Foundation entered Aleppo city and its countryside, in the north of Syria, with the beginning of Eid al-Fitr.
The trucks were sent by Turkey’s Diyanet (religious affairs) Foundation in coordination with Dar al-Fatwa in Izmir state, western Turkey, from where five trucks set off to Aleppo, while the other seven trucks headed to the border city of Azaz, to the north of Aleppo.
Dona Mahmoud, an elderly Syrian woman, who received part of the aid, expressed her appreciation and gratitude to the government and people of Turkey, and supplicated to Allah “to make them happy”.
