Amman, (IINA) – Jordanian Foreign Minister, Nasser Judeh discussed with the envoys of the Quartet on the Middle East efforts to advance the peace process between the Palestinians and Israelis, according to Petra news.
During the meeting, both sides stressed the importance of maintaining continuous communication, consultation and cooperation with regard to the peace process and ways to support it.
The delegation included the representatives of the European Union, the United States of America, Russia and the United Nations.
Judeh emphasized the need to intensify efforts by international stakeholders to set the ground for the resumption of peace negotiations based on the two-state solution and international terms of reference.
He said Jordan has an interest in the establishment of a Palestinian state, asserting that all final status issues concern Jordan's national security and interests.
Members of the delegation voiced appreciation of Jordan's pivotal role to push peacemaking forward and voiced support for such endeavors.
