Belgian Muslim community celebrates opening of Slaymiyah mosque

Brussels, (IINA) – The Muslim community in the Belgian capital Brussels on Sunday celebrated the opening of "Slaymiyah" complex, which includes a mosque and an educational center. Several prominent figures including Brussels Mayor of San Jose attended the function. 
In the opening speech, the head of the municipality of San Jose Amir Kerr said that they were taken into account during the creation of the mosque the demands of the people of the city and the architectural nature of the place, pointing out "that the mosque project is a stunning example."
It is noteworthy that the five-story structure spreads over an area of 2,700 square meters, and can accommodate up to 750 people. It was built in the pattern of Turkish and European architecture styles.
