Baku, (IINA) - Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received here on Sunday Mohammad Ishaq Dar, minister of finance, revenue, economic affairs, statistics and privatization of Pakistan, AzerTac state news agency reported.
Dar greeted the head of state on behalf of President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
The minister also expressed gratitude of the people and leadership of Pakistan to Azerbaijan`s first lady Mehriban Aliyev, who is also UNESCO and ISESCO goodwill ambassador, and president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, for implementing a number of social and humanitarian projects in the country.
Ishaq Dar noted that Azerbaijan and Pakistan enjoyed high-level of relations. President Aliyev recalled with pleasure the Pakistani president`s visit to Azerbaijan and their meetings, saying they discussed the bilateral issues, especially in the financial, economic, and investment fields.
President Aliyev noted the role of high-level visits in promoting bilateral ties, saying that the two countries enjoy high-level cooperation at international level too.
