Suriname elections 2015

Paramaribo (IINA) – At least four international organizations have confirmed their presence to observe Suriname's election, scheduled to be held on May 25, in which President Desire Delano Bouterse is favorite to be re-elected, the Latin American News Agency Prensa Latina reported Friday.
According to electoral authorities, the list of observers includes 11 members of the Caribbean Community, 20 from the Union of South American Nations, 24 from the Organization of American States and five from the European Union.
Two of these delegations are already in the country to monitor the arrangements of elections, while the others will arrive in the coming days.
Foreign and national observers will monitor the electoral process from the beginning until the announcement of results. They will also hold meetings with leaders of the political parties, governmental officials, media representatives and the civil society organizations, according to the agency.
