Sana’a (IINA) – The Russian Embassy in the capital Sana’a said it is considering a possibility of closing its Consulate General in the sea Yemeni port of Aden, and evacuating of its citizens, Russia Today (RT) website reported.

The Consulate-General in Aden has been damaged during airstrikes launched by the Saudi-led military coalition against the Houthi rebels, said a statement issued Thursday by the Russian Embassy in Yemen.

“There is not a single intact window left,” the statement noted, adding that a possibility of consulate closure and the evacuation of Russian nationals is currently under review.

Fighter jets of the Saudi-led coalition have launched airstrikes against the Houthi militiamen and the military units loyal to former Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh in Sana'a, Aden, and other Yemeni provinces.
