Wednesday 01 Apr 2015 - 15:00 Makkah mean time-12-6-1436  Makkah (IINA) – The International Organization for Muslim Scholars (IOMS), an affiliate of the Muslim World League (MWL) issued a statement on Tuesday, supporting the Saudi-led military coalition against the Houthi insurgents in Yemen.
“The Houthi militants bear full responsibility for what happened,” the statement said, stressing the need to deter them and stop their persistence.
"This campaign was mounted in support and response to the calls of vulnerable men, women and children, who were persecuted by the Houthis, through destroying their mosques, murdering their men and making orphans of their children, as well as violating their sanctities and looting their monies,” the statement read, adding that the Houthis wreaked havoc in the country, after having the Yemen people abandoned hope in the return of those insurgents to their senses or to accept the invitations to take part in the national dialogue and reform.
The statement, published by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), called on the leaders of the Arab and Muslim nations to strengthen and join the Saudi-led coalition because it is defending the oppressed people against their Houthi oppressors.
