Thursday 05 Feb 2015 - 10:53 Makkah mean time-16-4-1436 Amman (IINA) – Japanese State Minister for Foreign Affairs Yasuhide Nakayama on Wednesday thanked Jordanian King Abdullah for his country's support during the hostage crisis, BERNAMA reported.
In a meeting held here, Nakayama expressed his heartfelt solidarity with the Jordanian government and its people over the heinous murder of the pilot Muath al-Kasasbeh by the Islamic State (IS) militant group.
Nakayama, who leads a task force set up in the Jordanian capital by the Japanese government to deal with the hostage crisis, said his country will not give in to terrorism.
"Japan will firmly fulfill its responsibility in the fight against terrorism while working with the international community," he said.
King Abdullah offered his deep condolences to the families of the Japanese victims who were killed by IS militants.
