Nairobi (IINA) - The  Kenyan government has plans to issue sovereign sukuk (Islamic bond), IslamicFinance news reported quoting Lamin Manjang, CEO of Standard Chartered Kenya (SCK).
In an interview with the African Leadership Network, he noted that SCK is leveraging off the banks international experience in issuing sukuk to assist the ministry of finance,
Manjang further stated that Islamic finance is the fastest growing area in global finance. "It should be viewed as a value proposition open to all customers irrespective of whether the customer is Muslim or not," he added.
