OIC chief condemns terrorist attack in Bahrain

Jeddah (IINA) – Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Iyad Ameen Madani condemned the Tuesday's terrorist attack in Sitra village, Kingdom of Bahrain, killing two policemen and wounding others in the line of duty.
Madani expressed the OIC’s solidarity with the Kingdom of Bahrain, rejection of interference in its internal affairs, and support for the security, stability and sovereignty of the country and the unity of its people who are distinguished by moderation and openness.
He conveyed his condolences to the families of the victims and wished the injured quick recovery.
The Secretary General reiterated the OIC’s principled and unwavering position which condemns terrorism in its all forms and manifestations. He also stressed the Organization's commitment to continue to cooperate and coordinate with member states and all organs and institutions of the OIC to combat terrorism in the framework of the resolutions adopted in this regard.
