Jerusalem (IINA) – The Israeli forces on Wednesday prevented children attending summer camps in occupied Jerusalem from entry into Al-Aqsa Mosque, prompting them to stage a sit-in at the gates of the Mosque in protest.
The area surrounding Bab al-Silsila – one of Al-Aqsa Mosque main gates – was overshadowed by high tense atmosphere, after the Israeli soldiers pushed away some female protesters, to ensure the exit of settlers from the Mosque. This was followed by closing al-Silsila gate to worshipers with barricades. The Israeli soldiers also closed Bani Ghanim gate to the worshipers.
The Jewish settlers renewed on Wednesday their storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque through Bab al-Maghariba, escorted by the occupation police guard, while the worshipers stood against the provocative tours of the settlers in Al-Aqsa courtyards, by chanting the Takbir shouts.
Meanwhile, the Israeli police prevented a Jewish settler bride, in her wedding dress, and groom from breaking into Al-Aqsa Mosque through al-Maghariba gate, to “bless their wedding" inside the Mosque.
