Cairo (IINA) – The Palestinian Embassy in Cairo announced Sunday that Egypt agreed to reopen the Rafah border crossing with the Gaza Strip for three days, in response to a request by President Mahmoud Abbas, after his recent visit to Egypt.

The Embassy said the Egyptian authorities decided to reopen the crossing, starting from Tuesday to Thursday on both sides for the movement of students and delivery of humanitarian supplies.

In a statement on Sunday, the Embassy expressed sincere appreciation for Egypt’s relentless pursuit to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
