Riyadh (IINA) – Secretary General of Arab League Dr. Nabeel Al-Arabi on Sunday congratulated Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah for taking the initiative to reconcile between Egypt and Qatar and open a new chapter between the two brotherly Arab countries, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

Arabi hailed the Saudi leader for his efforts to heal the rifts between the two countries, describing the initiative as being in line with the Arab League Charter, which underscores in its second article the importance of consolidating pan-Arab cooperation and relations.

In a statement issued on Sunday, he expressed the hope that the initiative would be completed to restore the good relations between Egypt and Qatar, and promote cooperation between them in all fields.
