Friday 14 Nov 2014 - 17:34 Makkah mean time-21-1-1436 Albanian Wightlifter Almaty, (IINA) - Albanian weightlifter Romela Begaj was declared champion of the world in the style of secession in 63 kg weight. In the Championship held in Kazakhstan, Begaj lifted 113 kg in this style leaving behind famous weightlifters in the international arena. Begaj lifted 108 kg in the first test, failed in second with 113 kg and reached third World Cup triumph in Kazakhstan. Meanwhile, in boost style Romela lifted 132 kg finishing in ninth place, while in general rankings finished in seventh place. The 2014 World Weightlifting Championship opened on November 4 and will be wrap up on November 16. PB/IINA |
