Nablus (IINA) – Israeli occupation forces on Monday decided to seize 1,200 dunums of Palestinian territories in the villages of al-Lubban al-Sawiya and Qaryout, south of the West Bank city of Nablus.
Ghassan Daghlas, who is responsible for the wall and settlements file in the northern West Bank, said the Israeli occupation forces decided to confiscate the land, and gave 45 day notice as a period to submit objections.
Given the fact that the lands are located close to Shilo and Eilya settlements, Israel is likely to annex them to the illegal settlement bloc, Daghlas added.
Only a week ago, the Israeli authorities announced the confiscation of 2,340 dunums of Palestinian land in the Jericho area, central West Bank, claiming it “state land”.
