Sudan affirms readiness to sign joint action plan on children protection with UN

Khartoum (IINA) – The Sudanese government announced Wednesday its readiness to sign and implement a joint action plan with the United Nations on the protection of children from violations in areas of armed disputes, Sudan News Agency (SUNA) reported.
The remark was made by First Vice-President of Sudan Bakri Hassan Salih during a meeting, held here on Wednesday under his chairmanship, on the national plan to protect children in the areas of armed conflicts, in presence of the concerned ministries and institutions.
Salih affirmed the government commitment to protecting children and securing safe life for them. He said the Sudan's approval of the plan came after the study that proved its compatibility with the Sudanese laws.
