Afghanistan, UAE discuss anti-terrorism strategies

Abu Dhabi, (IINA) - Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan received on Wednesday the First Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Abdul Rashid Dostum at the Al-Shatea' Palace, WAM reported.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed coordination efforts on many issues, particularly with regard to addressing violence, extremism and terrorism, regional and international developments, and exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual concern.
The two sides also reviewed the UAE's effort in the reconstruction of Afghanistan, and its active contribution to developing a number of sectors to benefit the needs of the Afghani people.
Al-Nahyan and Dostum also reviewed ways of enhancing and developing bilateral relations in various fields to serve the interests of both countries and their peoples.
The meeting was also attended by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, and Ali bin Hammad Al-Shamsi, Deputy Secretary-General of the National Security Council.
