Khartoum (IINA) – Head of Sudan's National Intelligence and Security Service (NISS) Mohamed Atta al-Mawla Abbas vowed Islamic State group militants should not be allowed to use the country to cross into Libya, a media source reported Tuesday.
"Sudan will not be a crossing for Daesh and extremists," the Sudan Media Centre (SMC) – seen as close to the security forces – quoted Mohamed Atta as saying during a graduation ceremony of new members of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), a counter-insurgency unit.
"We will not tolerate any organized or cross-border crime Sudanese territory is used in," he added.
