Tel Aviv, (IINA) - Two Israeli Jewish extremists were indicted on Sunday for the deadly West Bank arson attack in July on the home of the Palestinian Dawabsheh family, which helped to reignite a fresh cycle of violence in Israel and the Palestinian areas, DPA reported.
Israeli police spokeswoman Luba Samri said that Amiram Ben Uliel, a 21-year-old Jerusalem native, was formally charged with murder committed with racist motives while a 17-year-old was charged with aiding murder.
The Jewish extremists hurled a firebomb into the home of the Dawabsheh family as they were sleeping in the northern West Bank village of Duma, south of the city of Nablus.
An 18-month-old toddler, Ali, died on the spot. His parents and 4-year-old brother were severely injured. The father and mother later died from the severe burns they suffered in their attempt to save their children.
A Graffiti in Hebrew, including the word "revenge," along with a Star of David, were sprayed on the walls of the home.
The attack sparked international outrage and Israel faced criticism for failing to immediately bring the perpetrators to justice.
