Kuwait City (IINA) – Kuwaiti Minister of Finance Anas Khalid Al Saleh, who is also governor of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Group, will patronize on behalf of Kuwait an introductory workshop on the IDB Group, to be organized here on Wednesday by Kuwait’s Ministry of Finance and Kuwait Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) in collaboration with the IDB Group.
The workshop, which will see the participation of both the public and private sectors as well as the financial institutions, aims at introducing participants to the programs and financing activities extended by the IDB Group to the public and private sectors. It will also address the strategic partnership between Kuwait and the IDB Group, which focuses on the transition from implementing the submitted projects only to forging a broad partnership including a clear plan of action that harmonizes between the Kuwait Development Plan and the IDB Group’s Strategic Priorities.
Dr Ahmad Mohamed Ali, President of the IDB Group, explained that this workshop is to be held within the framework of strengthening the existing cooperation between the State of Kuwait and the Bank. He praised the strong support that has been provided by the Gulf State for the IDB Group.
The IDB president said that Kuwait's firm support for the Bank Group and the advanced relations with the State of Kuwait reflect positively in various economic and social development fields, and are in favor of the partnership between Kuwait and the other IDB Group member states.
