King Salman: We are keen on Yemen's security, restoring legitimate rights of Palestinians

Riyadh (IINA) – Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman confirmed that the Arab coalition countries are keen to achieve security and stability in Yemen under the leadership of its legitimate government.
“We, the GCC states, supports a political solution in order to enable Yemen to overcome the crisis and restore its march towards construction and development,” he said.
The King made the remarks in his speech at the opening of the 36th session of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) leaders, in Riyadh on Wednesday.
Addressing the GCC leaders, King Salman said that "the complicated conditions, challenges and ambitions in the region require us to stand and work together to continue to fortify our countries against foreign threats and extending a helping hand to our brothers in order to restore security and stability, in addition to addressing challenges facing our Arab region and resolving their issues, including the Palestinian cause and restoration of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
In the Syrian affairs, the KIng said the Kingdom is hosting the Syrian opposition in an effort to finding a political solution to guarantee the unity of the Syrian territory pursuant to the decisions of the "Geneva 1".
The Saudi King stressed in his speech that all countries of the world must share responsibility in the fight against extremism and terrorism, and its elimination whatever its source.
He explained that the Kingdom has exerted great efforts in combating terrorism and will continue its efforts in cooperation and coordination with the brotherly and friendly countries in this regard, stressing that terrorism has no religion. "Our religion rejected terrorism. Our religion is a religion of moderation," he added.
